Further casting confirmed for Pinter at the Pinter

Michael Gambon joins the season of Harold Pinter's one-act plays.

London’s Harold Pinter Theatre will host a season of the legendary playwright’s one-act plays, performed by some of the world’s most celebrated actors and creatives, many of whom were Pinter’s friends and collaborators.

The seven shows will capture a total of 16 plays, and will showcase performances by the newly announced Michael Gambon, as well as the previously announced Ron Cook, Danny Dyer, Martin Freeman, Tamsin Greig, Jane Horrocks, Celia Imrie, John Macmillan, Emma Naomi, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Abraham Popoola, David Suchet and Nicholas Woodeson.

Keith Allen, Phil Davis, Paapa Essiedu, Rupert Graves, Gary Kemp, John Simm and Maggie Steed were also recently announced as joining the celebratory season.

The current list is completed by Jessica Barden, Kate O’Flynn, Sir Anthony Sher, Hayley Squires, Luke Thallon, Russell Tovey and Penelope Wilton, who will all also take to the stage across the season.

Gambon will be joining the season as the voice of The Guard in Mountain Language.

Directors Jamie Lloyd, Patrick Marber, Ed Stambollouian, Lyndsey Turner and Lia Williams will lead the various productions.

Pinter at the Pinter | More Cast Announced For Harold Pinter Season in West End

 

The unique experience will take place from 6 September 2018 to 23 February 2019 at the theatre that bears Pinter’s name, and will celebrate the “most influential, provocative and poetic dramatists of his generation” (the Guardian).
