BBC favourite Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to the road for the live UK Arena Tour from January 2019. The 29 date tour kicks off in Birmingham on the 18 January, before heading to Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow, Nottingham, and into London, and now the full line-up of dancers has been revealed!
Joining the already announced Stacey Dooley & Aljaž Škorjanec, Dr Ranj Singh & Janette Manrara and Joe Sugg & Dianne Buswell will be Ashley Roberts & Pasha Kovalev, Lauren Steadman & AJ Pritchard, Graeme Swann & Karen Clifton and Faye Tozer & Giovanni Pernice.
The popular BBC talent show is drawing to its conclusion, with the semi-finals taking place this weekend.
All four TV Judges will join the 2019 Strictly Come Dancing UK Arena Tour which means Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli will be joined by Head TV Judge Shirley Ballas – who makes her debut on the live extravaganza – and will appear at all 29 sparkle-filled shows next year.
The shows will also feature 2016 TV show winner Ore Oduba on hosting duties, having taken on the role last year.
Direction will one again come from TV judge Craig Revel Horwood, with the tour promising many of the celebrities and professional dancers from the 16th series of the BBC One show. Further announcements about cast will arrive in the coming months.
“Goes without saying, I’m so excited to be back hosting the Tour again,” Ore says. “As many people know, Strictly means a lot to me so to be back with the gang…well, let’s just say it didn’t take long for me to say ‘yes’! I had the best time hosting the 2018 tour, the Strictly fans were as loud and excitable as ever. And I’m sure 2019 will be no different, we’ve got a sensational show planned. And yes – when we hit the road in January – I will be packing my dancing shoes!”
Audiences at the live shows will have the opportunity to influence the selection of the winner of the Glitterball Trophy at the end of each show. Their opinions will be matched against the critiques and scores from the yet to be announced tour judges.
