Now in its 17th series, the first live episode of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing is due to air on BBC One on Saturday 21 September 2019.

Dancing for the Glitterball trophy in 2019 will be former England footballer Alex Scott, presenter Anneka Rice, former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley, comedian Chris Ramsey, former England goalkeeper David James, Radio 1 presenter Dev Griffin, EastEnders actress Emma Barton, fashion model Emma Weymouth, Olympic rower James Cracknell, Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher (replacing Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing), CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual, RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, BBC Breakfast sports reporter Mike Bushell, YouTuber Saffron Barker and Paralympic table tennis player Will Bayley.

The 2018 series of the popular BBC competition was won by Dooley and her partner Kevin Clifton.

A yearly tradition, several of the most popular celebrities from the show alongside their professional dancing partners will be showcasing their best performances from their time on Strictly Come Dancing live on tour this winter.

Audiences not only get to watch the stars perform roof-raising routines, but they also have the power to decide who wins the coveted Glitterball Trophy at the end of each show. The tour judges will, as always, provide feedback and scores after each performance, with the audiences voting via text and ultimately deciding who wins. Judging and casting announcements will be made over the coming months.
