TINA – The Tina Turner Musical announces extension

The show is now booking until the 21 December 2019.

TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, based on the life of the legendary music icon, has extended until the 21 December 2019, with an extra 200,000 tickets available from midday on Monday 21 January 2019.

The news comes alongside confirmation that the original cast recording will be available soon.

“It is a privilege to have our show playing to full houses here in London night after night,” Tina Turner says. “I’m so looking forward to the release of our cast album, so we can share the music and also the way the songs tell my story. This was my biggest surprise in the making of the musical – I never realised my songs captured the life I was living. I’m turning 80 this year and it’s a time for looking back. I’ve loved working with my producers, Phyllida, Katori, our creative team and of course this incredible cast led by Adrienne and Kobna. Together they found the love, and I am grateful.”

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them. This new stage musical, presented in association with Tina Turner herself, reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.

TINA – The Tina Turner Musical has been written by Katori Hall, alongside Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins. Choreography comes from Anthony van Laast, with set and costume design by Mark Thompson.
