The smash hit West End musical Wicked, telling the previously untold tale of the Witches of Oz, has confirmed its 25th new booking period, now running until Saturday 24 May 2019. Over 500,000 new tickets will be released.

Today Wicked also announced a new year-long charity partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) in 2018. For more than a decade, the London production has been supporting and championing the work of many UK charities through its philanthropic programme, Wicked: For Good.

Wicked recently became the 7th longest running show currently playing in the West End, and the 15th longest running show in West End theatre history.

To date, it has seen over 8.5 million people witness the musical phenomenon at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, across 5,000 performances.

Across the globe the musical celebrates over 100 major award wins, including ten fan voted WhatsOnStage Awards and two coveted Olivier Audience Awards in the UK.

The production currently stars Alice Fearn as Elphaba and Sophie Evans as Glinda, performing alongside Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie & Maria Coyne (Standby for Glinda).

The latest booking period announcement arrives as the show prepares for a year long UK tour, kicking off at Bristol Hippodrome on the 31 January 2018. Tickets for both the West End and the UK tour can be found here.

The story is based on the best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire that reimagines the stories and characters originally craeted by L. Frank Baum in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

With music and lyrics by multi Grammy and Academy Award winner Stephen Schwatz, the musical features iconic tracks such as the soaring Defying Gravity.

In London, Wicked is now in its 12th year. It calls the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London’s West End home.
